CARPAL TUNNEL SYNDROME

Hailing from Montreal, the super fast dj Kid Koala emerges from the underground and releases his first album. Carpal Tunnel Sydrome is not the type of album you listen to at a party or something... It's more experimental than a complete project. However, that doesn't mean it sucks. Actually, to put it bluntly, it's fuckin awesome. Kid Koala pulls of some complicated and funky scratches and his huge, intricate and sometimes hilarious-sounding beats are sure to make heads nod. Plus, as if the music wasn't enough, he throws in a cool comic sketch drawn by the man himself. I love this album, and if you're into scratch dj's and you'd like to hear an example of a great masterpiece, pick up Carpal Tunnel Syndrome right away.

QUALITY CONTROL

Straight 'outta L.A, Jurassic 5 is a ensemble of 4 MCs - Chali 2NA, Marc 7, Akil and Zaakir... and 2 DJs - Numark and Cut Chemist. So what if they can't count? Quality Control is their second release following their '97 self-titled release. There are many good songs on this well put together album, but most memorable is Quality Control. Deft lyrical verses and pounding hip-hop beats are what makes this album a good one. Jurassic 5 aren't your average group talking about killing people and whatnot... their lyrical skill is what makes them special. If you're into hip-hop, buy this album, It's really tight.

ART OFFICIAL INTELLIGENCE: MOSAIC THUMP

This New York hip-hop crew are at it again with their latest release, Art Official Intelligence. This album is really good and there are many notable tracks. My Writes featuring California rappers Xzibit and Tash is a head-boppin' hit with some really nice effects. I.C Y'all featuring the infamous Busta Rhymes is another nice track. Busta Rhymes lays down some nice rhymes and makes the song complete. Squat featuring Ad Rock and Mike D of the Beastie Boys is a really phat song with an old-school flavor to it. A nice chorus and some funky scratching make it an all-round nice joint. Last but not least, the first hit off the album, Oooh featuring Redman is probably my favourite. Redman makes this track cool with his crazy sounding voice and he adds an unmistakable Jersey a.k.a 'Brick City' attitude to it.

All-In-All this is honestly a really good album.

This album is packed with hit after hit... This is probably my favourite album right now. The songs i'm feeling mostly are 'Oh No' featuring Mos Def, Pharoahe Monche and Nate Dogg, 'Ms. Fat Booty 2' featuring Mos Def and Ghostface Killah, 'Legendary Street Team' featuring M.O.P. and Kool G Rap, and 'Right and Exact' featuring Dilated Peoples. If you love hip-hop, and who doesn't, shit, you should buy this album right now!!

WARRIORZ

The roudy, loud-mouthed group representin Brooklyn is back! Holy shit this album is phat!... 'Ante Up' was the first single and the ultimate club anthem. My personal favourite 'Cold As Ice' combines an old disco classic with a bangin' new beat to make an amazing joint. This is an undoubtable hit album.....
